Together, shoulder to shoulder, we can break the cycle of suicide on the island of Ireland.

Cycle Against Suicide passed through Warrenpoint, County Down this afternoon.

Hundreds of cyclists came through the town in a very impressive display raising awareness and money for the prevention of suicide.

The Cycle Against Suicide mantra is

“it’s ok not to feel ok; and it’s absolutely ok to ask for help’”

With at least 800 lives being claimed by suicide on the island of Ireland, this initiative raises the issue of suicide and the help that is out there for people who are suffering in silence.

Jim Breen founded Cycle Against Depression to raise awareness of mental health issues and direct anyone who needs help to the support networks that are available.

Jim Breen, a successful businessman, suffers depression. It was in his downtime that he really noticed the crippling effect of depression and the effect that it can have on family and friends of the person suffering. Mental health issues can effect us all. Check out the video below!
