Mountain Fires ravage the Mourne Mountains and Killarney

The video above is of a mountain fire raging on the moutainside overlooking Warrenpoint and Carlingford Lough.
Northern Ireland Fire Service were in attendance at the scene courageously battling against the fire.
Mountain Fires on the Mourne Mountains and Slieve Donard
Fire fighters have been battling the gorse fire on the slopes of Slieve Donard in the Mourne Mountains in County Down for three days.
Fire chiefs had labelled the mountain fire as a “major incident” but thankfully by Sunday 25 April 2021, the valiant efforts of the crews has achieved a victory over the fire for now.

Killarney Park Mountain Fires
The Killarney Park in County Kerry has also been struck by Mountain gorse fires.
A status orange high forest fire risk warning is in place on one of the hottest days of the year.
