Lonely Planet is one of the world’s biggest travel publishers and was acquired by the BBC. It is now owned by American billionaire Brad Kelly. His media company NC2 media which specialises in creating quality digital content acquired Lonely Planet in 2013.

The company mission is the merger of traditional print media with the evolving digital world.
