Friday 9th August
- 11am-1pm & 2pm-4pm: The Currach Club’s “Come and Try It” Open Sessions. All are welcome to come along and have a go. (Warrenpoint Beach)

Saturday 10th August
- 11am-3.30pm: Annual International Currach Championships. Heats with teams from Donegal, East Wall (Dublin), Skerries, Clare, Galway, and Hudson River (USA). (Warrenpoint Beach)
- 12pm – 2pm: Dog Show (The Square)
- 12pm: Dog Show Registration

- 1.30pm: Irish Cup 1st Round – Warrenpoint Town FC vs Windmill Stars – Kick off @ 1.30pm (Milltown)

CURRACHS ON THE LOUGH

The Currach is a traditional Irish boat made of a wooden frame covered with a watertight material such as animal hide or synthetic fabrics.
Known for its lightweight and flexible design, it has been used for centuries along the coasts of Ireland for fishing and transportation.
Its construction involves a wooden framework covered with a material like canvas or tarred fabric, making it suitable for rough sea conditions.
The currach’s design allows it to be easily repaired and adapted for various uses
